This fall, Chair Roy Scott stepped down from the MIABC’s Board after seven years of dedicated service.
Chair Scott’s departure has created a vacancy for the Group B Representative position on the MIABC’s Board. If any representatives of Group B members (population of 2,501 to 5,000) are interested in becoming an MIABC Board member, please contact Director Lance Kayfish, Chair of the Nominating Committee, c/o MIABC Chief Risk Officer Maryam Sherkat (msherkat@miabc.org). The deadline for nominations is February 16, 2024.
In order to serve on the MIABC’s Board of Directors, candidates must be at least 19 years of age, an elected official or staff member of a MIABC subscriber and have at least two years’ experience in the area of accounting, finance, local government purchasing, the insurance industry, risk management, or governance experience in a regulated or public traded entity.
