
Melissa joined the MIABC in 2024 as Controller in the Finance Department, where she plays a key role on the leadership team. She is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, implementing robust controls and procedures, and providing strategic financial insights to guide decision-making.
Prior to joining MIABC, Melissa led the Accounting and Finance division of a global clean energy technology company for three years. In this capacity, she played an essential role in financial planning, reporting, and supporting key business decisions. Her career began in public practice accounting, where she accumulated eight years of expertise in tax, assurance, and advisory services.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Accounting from the Sauder School of Business. She is also a proud member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.
