The MIABC is looking for an energetic, motivated, and career-minded Digital Strategy Analyst. The MIABC is a member-owned non-profit insurance reciprocal that provides liability coverage to over 168 local governments in British Columbia, and property and ancillary coverage to over half of our members. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with the Manager of Digital Strategy and Technology to implement systems and software to enhance operational efficiency as well as to implement projects aligned with MIABC's digital strategic roadmap, connecting digital initiatives to business objectives.
  • Serving as a liaison between business users and technical resources, providing advanced technical support, insights, recommendations, and result measurement.
  • Collaborating with other departments to develop, test, and implement system improvements aligned with MIABC's business needs.
  • Developing and maintaining business application documentation, end-user training materials, and change management strategies. Assists in end-user training as needed.
  • Building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using advanced business intelligence tools.
  • Identifying and recommending improvements in data collection and management practices to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Obtaining data from various sources, assessing accuracy, and maintaining an updated data library.
  • Conducting benchmarking studies and designing methodologies for comprehensive analysis of member-to-member peer group exposures and experiences.
  • Querying, transforming, and formatting data for reports and dashboards within diverse technology platforms.
  • Implementing data management procedures, including data cleaning, organization, and ongoing monitoring and refinement of analytics and metrics.
  • Utilizing business intelligence tools to design, test, and deploy self-service reports.
  • Recommending enhancements to the design and functionality of data collection system user interfaces.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, business intelligence, and analytics.
  • Advanced expertise with Microsoft Office products including Office 365
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM platform is an asset.
  • Excellent data visualization and reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proven track record of working with advanced business intelligence tools for reporting and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and formatting.
  • Previous exposure to artificial intelligence and technology integration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data collection and management best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Permanent full-time

Pay Range:

$69,000 to $86,200
