Blanket contractual liability coverage is coverage that applies to liability that is
assumed by the contractor in contracts. It covers liability where the contractor may not be negligent but has agreed to be responsible for loss or damage under a provision of a contract. You will want to ensure a contractor has blanket contractual liability coverage if your contract requires the contractor/consultant to indemnify your local government for all losses arising from their work, even those that are due to your local government’s negligence or the negligence of others.
