Broad form loss of use is an endorsement to an insurance policy that will cover the loss of use of the property of others without the accompanying direct damage. For example, if there is an accident on a construction site under the control of your contractor, it may subsequently cause an interruption in services to the neighbouring recreation centre that you operate. Should this result in the need to close temporarily and lose revenue, the resulting economic losses would be covered.
