After specializing in municipal and insurance defence litigation while working at a large regional law firm for seven years, Megan joined the MIABC as a staff lawyer in 2013. She was immediately struck by the cooperative spirit of the MIABC’s staff, board, and members. In 2014 she was appointed as the Director of Member Services tasked with building out the MIABC’s risk management and member services program. In 2018 Megan became the MIABC’s General Counsel, responsible for overseeing the MIABC’s litigated claims, Legal Department, corporate commercial matters, and external counsel and in 2022 Megan was appointed as the MIABC's Chief Executive Officer.
